Salesforce for Outlook retires January 30, 2027

84 days left — Jan 30, 2027

What stops working
The desktop add-in stops authenticating; contacts, events and tasks no longer sync between Salesforce and Outlook; the side panel disappears.
Who is affected
Orgs still running the Salesforce for Outlook desktop client (Contact Manager through Unlimited editions).
Official migration path
Migrate to the Outlook Integration add-in and Einstein Activity Capture.
What the official path does not cover
Salesforce's own pages show three different dates (Nov 1, 2026 in a release note; Jan 30, 2027 in the help article updated Oct 1, 2026; Dec 2027 in older notices). The Oct 1, 2026 help article is the latest. Einstein Activity Capture has stated fit limits (orgs with >100 non-Sales Cloud licenses, Government Cloud, data-residency requirements).
