- What stops working
- From December 18, 2026, an address-only return label no longer satisfies Amazon for most US seller-fulfilled returns. Sellers must upload a prepaid label through Manage Seller-Fulfilled Returns within 7 calendar days or Amazon refunds automatically and debits the seller.
- Who is affected
- US merchants fulfilling their own Amazon orders (FBM).
- Official migration path
- Upload prepaid labels via the Manage Returns workflow, or enable automatic returnless refunds where appropriate.
- What the official path does not cover
- Labels sent through Buyer-Seller Messaging do not count. Carrier-label automation must be wired into the Manage Returns workflow.
